Earphone Pads, Crochet

25 years ago, the foam on my earphones gave out, so I created new pads. I still get strange looks when people notice.

Now husband claims he needs a pair.

Pictures will come later.

This uses American terminology (see bottom for sample stitch)

Round 1: Ch 6, join with sl st to form ring

Round 2: Ch 3 (acts as first double crochet). Dc 9 in ring. Join in 3rd stitch of starting ch 3. (10 dc)

Round 3: Ch 3 (acts as first double crochet). Dc in join stitch. Dc 1 between each dc. Join in 3rd stitch of starting ch 3. (20 dc)

You now have a disk the size of the earphone.

Round 3: Ch 3 (acts as first double crochet). Dc in each dc. Join in 3rd stitch of starting ch 3. (20 dc)

You now have a small cup. Place cup on the earphone disk. Cut yarn, leaving 6″ tail. Run tail through top of each stitch in final row, pull tight, tie off and cut.
