In a nutshell, after a quick scan: Skilled trades are valuable to the doer and to the economy. They exercise your brain in ways most schoolwork doesn’t. This leads to better brains all around. They give you a feeling of accomplishment. They lead to better designers and better designs. They keep work in the country — make it here, make it good, repair it, rather than replace it with a mass-produced unit from China.
I agree with all of it.
